Contractor and Special Permits
Contractor Permits
Contractor permits allow access to all parking lots.
- Permits may be purchased monthly or annually (September–August).
- Contractor permits are not valid in accessibility stalls, fire lanes, or other areas that are not clearly defined as a parking spot.
- Permits are refundable, prorated to the half month.
- Monthly $97.50 as of September 1, 2023.
- Yearly $1170 as of September 1, 2023.

Contractors may also purchase daily or hourly parking via:
- Honkmobile, valid in lots across campus.
- Pay stations at campus lots.
Motorcycle Permits
Any customer may purchase a Motorcycle Permit, which is valid in specially designated motorcycle areas located in lots E, G, H and J.
- Motorcycle permits may be purchased for 1 month.
- Permits are refundable, prorated to the half month.
- Motorcycle permits cost $76.50 per month. as of September 1, 2023.

If you have a motorcycle on your parking account in addition to a vehicle lot permit, you can park your motorcycle in a vehicle parking stall in your authorized lot, or in a motorcycle stall available in E, G, H or J lot.
Only one vehicle is authorized to park on campus at any given time. If your motorcycle and vehicle are both parked on campus, you must pay for parking separately.
Accessibility Permits
Students, Faculty and Staff
UBC Okanagan students, faculty and staff with mobility limitations may purchase an Accessibility Permit, which is valid in all marked accessibility stalls on campus.
- Accessibility permits may be purchased for 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, a semester, or via monthly payroll deduction (faculty and staff).
- Permits are refundable, prorated to the half month.
- Accessibility permits cost $76.50 per month as of September 1, 2023.
To purchase:
- If you have a valid SPARC parking permit, contact the Parking Services office.
- If you do not have a SPARC Pass:
- Students: visit the UBC Okanagan Disability Resource Centre, which will determine the individual’s qualifying status and advise Parking Services.
- Faculty and staff: contact the Work Reintegration and Accommodation Program (WRAP) in Human Resources, which will determine the individual’s qualifying status and advise Parking Services
Non-UBC Staff and Contractors
A valid provincially issued SPARC Pass or City of Kelowna Accessibility Parking Pass is required to issue a UBC Okanagan accessibility parking permit.
The applicant must contact the Parking Services office and present their valid permit along with government-issued photo ID.
