UBC Okanagan Parking Update – October 16 2020
Upcoming changes to parking on campus.
During the Winter Semester, full and partial lot closures will be impacted on campus.
J lot will fully closed from Nov 1 to Feb 28.
H lot, R lot and G lot will be partially closed from Nov 1 to Feb 28.
Information will be posted at each lot if a closure is upcoming.
UBC Okanagan Parking Update – August 26 2020
UBCO Parking will continue to waive parking fees for the Term 1 Fall semester (September 2020 until December 2020). Information will be posted regarding Term 2 (January 2020 until April 2021) at a later date.
As fees are waived for Term 1, permits will not be issued as parking is free of charge. Parking is allowed in R lot for Resident Students only, as this is the only lot designated for overnight parking. Due to Nechako construction, E and F lot remain available for permit holders and authorized individuals only.
Staff and Faculty are not required to contact Parking Services to request a suspension of payroll deductions as this will be addressed automatically.
You may have seen conflicting information recently that was relevant to the Vancouver campus only. If you previously submitted a payroll deduction cancellation request due to this message and would like us to disregard it, no further action is required. If you would like Parking Services to cancel your permit, please follow this link https://parking.ok.ubc.ca/forms and submit a payroll deduction cancellation form.
Ensure that your parking account is accurate. Add, update and manage vehicle information on your parking account at https://parking.ok.ubc.ca/account.
All drivers to campus are reminded while payment is suspended, traffic and parking regulations remain in place. Park only in designated areas and carefully follow posted signage.

What is a Virtual Permit?
Conveniently park on campus using HonkMobile to pay for your parking, both at Short Term parking area or parking lot.

- Check to see if the vehicle has traffic notice(s) before adding it to your Parking Account by going to parking.ok.ubc.ca/trafficnotices.
- To remove a vehicle from your Parking Account, you must delete the vehicle and the associated vehicle from the permit.
Step 1: Go to Vehicles and select the vehicle. Select Delete to remove the vehicle.
Step 2: Go to Permits/View your Permits. Select the active permit where it displays any associated vehicles linked to the permit. Select Delete to remove the vehicle associated to the permit.

New or Returning Students, including Undergraduate Students, Academic Assistants and Graduate Students – online permit sales are available for the 8 month school term, as well as Spring / Summer sessions.
Residence parking is available in R lot ONLY.
New Faculty and Staff should log in through their CWL to set up a new parking account with their vehicle information. A payroll deduction is available for permanent staff – please contact Parking Services to arrange this payment method. Current Faculty and staff at UBC’s Okanagan campus who are on a yearly payroll deduction plan do not need to reapply.
When you are no longer in need of the permit you must inform the Parking Services office to stop payroll deduction.
