Parking Services has implemented updates which will improve departmental operation and enhance the overall campus parking experience.
- There will be no increase to our permit or daily rate prices for the second consecutive year.
- Fixed license plate reading cameras are being installed in all parking lots and on all roadways leading in and out of campus. This will not only improve our parking compliance practices but it will also improve the overall safety of campus through a partnership with Campus Security.
- All pay stations have been replaced with upgraded, user-friendly models that are lower in height/more accessible, offer a large colour screen, that support tap-to-pay Visa, MasterCard, and debit, and offer optional receipt printing.
- The Pay Station in R Lot has been removed due to lack of use; resident daily paid parking is now available exclusively through HonkMobile.
- We have partnered with a parking validation platform called
for Guest/Event parking. This will provide an improved experience for departments and their guests. - The entrance to J Lot has been widened for better traffic flow.
- Dedicated entry and exit lanes have been created in I and J Lots for better traffic flow and improved pedestrian safety.
- Flexible delineators have been installed in several lots to enhance vehicle and pedestrian safety.
- 8 new parking stalls have been added to E lot
- All short term lots have had the lot lines painted orange to help differentiate them from permit/daily rate lots.
- Improved marking of fire lanes and loading zones on Lower Residence Lane.
- Speed limit markings were applied to all roadways on campus.
- Stop signs and stop bars added to H Lot.
- Please note: HonkMobile is implementing a $0.45 per transaction user fee that will go into effect on September 1, 2025
